Dubbo is just 275 metres above the sea level and located at the
junction of the Golden Highways, Mitchell and Newell. It is 416
kilometres in the west-north-west of Sydney. It is also well connected
by rails and roads to the other parts of New South Wales.
The best thing about Dubbo is its convenient location on the criss-roads
of NSW. You can easily drive to Brisbane in the North, Melbourne to the
South, Broken Hill and Adelaide to the West and Sydney to the East.
The town stretches around 3,425 square kilometres and is dotted with
a number of industries that include health, manufacturing, transport,
agriculture, business service, education, construction and government
services. The city is quite large in the sense that it conquers about
one-third of the area of the NSW. Articulately designed both naturally
and hand-made, the city is pleasing in eco-tourism and serves as the

Dubbo is the focal point for the region's cultural and recreational
life. The surrounding towns of, Narromine, Warren, Gilgandra, Nyngan,
Cobar, Wellington, Bourke, Walgett and Brewarrina often depend upon
Dubbo for goods and services, since they get access to the various

city have strengthened Dubbo as a hub of transport. The airport in the
city is the busiest place, since it offers 140 return flights to Sydney.
